Trusting God

Hi friends,

Do you struggle sometimes to know what to do? You’re like stuck between all these options and you don’t quite know what God is saying? Well, sometimes, we are to be still, wait and trust His timing. But then other times, we are to SEEK THE LORD FIRST, act in faith and be apart of the miracle. Sometimes when you’re in the midst of a situation and you don’t know what to do, you simply have to do what you know to do.

I know that many of you write me about this and I just wanted to encourage you that sometimes in your season of waiting on the Lord, you have to activate your faith even in the uncertainty. Sometimes God wants you to be apart of the miracle and do your part because He will always do His. Kind of like Noah building the boat before the rain in Genesis chapter five. Or Moses raising his staff in Exodus chapter seventeen and God parting the Red Sea. Or the disciplines carrying the jugs of water as Jesus turned it into wine in John chapter two. There are many other examples throughout the Bible where God uses PEOPLE to show His power and strength. When our faith matches HIS power, miracles happen. I’ve seen it myself. I love this quote my pastor gave us last Sunday.

We should never assume that God will do everything and we can do nothing. And we should never assume that we do all the work and God will do nothing.

While everyone’s situation is different, sometimes we’re waiting on God, but really God is waiting on us. Maybe your move of faith is having the courage to ask Him what to do because you’ve been too afraid to. Maybe it’s applying to jobs until a door opens. Maybe it’s knocking on the doors until one opens. We don’t always know the right way to go, but sometimes we just have to take the first step. And He takes our feet and plants us in the next step, and the next step and He leads us on. He wants to partner with us in the miracle.

You may not know what’s going to happen, but you can rest assure that it’s going to work out for your good. So, when you don’t know what to do, do what you know to do and be a part of the miracle.

God, sometimes, isn’t like a GPS that breaks down every turn initially. Sometimes, He waits for our act of faith first and then He guides us to the next step. I’m not implying that you should be controlling and try to work in your own strength to work out your situation. In everything we should be led by His spirit. However, I am saying that often times He just wants us to trust Him and do what we know to do. He’s given us wisdom, godly counsel to seek, and resources at our finger tips. We can do our part even if it seems small. God can work in the little and multiply. Trust me He can.

I remember when I was in the darkest season of my life. I didn’t have a job. I was in a financial mess. But the Lord showed me in that season that I didn’t HAVE to suffer in that mess. That I could get up and apply to jobs and do the “dirty work.” I could at least apply and put forth an effort and He would do the rest. And guess what? He did. Out of all the jobs I applied for, He opened an amazing door that had so much favor attached to it. So often, I think we’re afraid to make a mistake or walk through the wrong door, that it hinders us in fear from moving at all.

But God hasn’t given you a spirit of fear, in fact if you walk through the wrong door, He can re-route you to the right door. So there’s really no reason to fear at all if you think about it. Your world is literally in the palm of His hand and you are precious to Him. He would never fail you. Never.

So, today if that’s you…wondering, planning and worrying what to do. Do what you know to do and let God do the rest. Apply to the job and watch God put your name on the CEO’s mind. Start the blog and watch HIM promote it. Film the video and watch how many lives our touched by it. Pray THAT prayer and watch how God moves on your behalf. Ask in FAITH. Do it afraid. And know that your faith will move mountains. Be apart of the miracle friend, The Lord is going to lead you to His best. Don’t give up. xo

Meditate on these truths:

The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
I will advise you and watch over you.” Psalm 32:8 NLT

“Then he said to me, “This is what the Lord says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.” Zechariah 4:6 NLT
